Bus route between Arboles and Pagosa shutdown for foreseeable future
Mountain Express Transit offers bus service to residents at a low cost
consisting of routes within and outside of Pagosa Springs to include
Arboles, Ignacio and Durango. Registered seniors ride for free or
discounted rates depending on route.

As of 9:30 p.m., multiple areas throughout Pagosa Springs and the surrounding region continue to be impacted by ongoing flooding. The Archuleta County Sheriff’s Office, along with assisting agencies, remains focused on public safety and the protection of life. Although floodwaters are beginning to recede, continued incoming weather is affecting rescue and response efforts.

October 23, 2026 – The Community Foundation serving Southwest Colorado has activated the Archuleta Community Emergency Relief Fund (CERF) to assist the Town of Pagosa Springs and surrounding areas affected by this week’s flooding.
